In line with these efforts, a forum was held by the Muslim World League at the UN Headquarters in New York on promotion of dialogue among cultures and religions.
The forum was aimed at creating bridges among religions and between the East and the West, al-Islah website reported.
In his address at the forum, Muslim World League Secretary General Mohammad Alissa said every civilization has its own identity and others should recognize its rights.
Also speaking was President of the UN General Assembly Csaba Korosi, who said the member states are mulling over an official document that restricts the spread of hate in the cyberspace.
Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations Amina J. Mohammed was another speaker. She underlined the common responsibility for confronting those spread misunderstanding, hate and fear.
A number of scholars, officials and parliamentarians from the member states also took part in the forum.
